Kate and Elizabeth Cusack each
scored goals to propel Shenendehowa
past Niskayuna in the Class A field
hockey championships Sunday at
Schuylerville.
Mary Kate’s goal came with 8:20
remaining in the second overtime
period to secure the title for the
Plainsmen and once again advance
them into the New York State
Playoffs after a 2-1 victory over
the Silver Warriors.

they carried into halftime to
dethrone Glens Falls and capture the
Class B field hockey championship
with a 4-2 victory.
Johnstown will now face Maine
Endwell (IV) on Saturday in the
State Regionals.

Schuylerville accomplished one fete
during Saturday’s Class C field
hockey Championship.
They scored a goal on mighty
Greenwich, something that had not
been accomplished all season.
The one goal was not enough
as prolific goal scorer Dani
Degregory scored two goals to lead
the Witches to the Class C crown
with a 2-1 victory.
